Maxillary Resections

Resection (loss) of a part of the maxilla (upper jaw) usually results from treatment of tumors or pathological conditions or might be due to accidents. This results in significant patient disabilities manifested as difficulty in speech and swallowing. Prosthetic rehabilitation in the form of an "OBTURATOR" is usually required to restore such defects.
